3. Ripe bananas

While ripe bananas are very beneficial when orally taken, they are loved for their sweet taste. But did you also though that they can serve as a natural remedy to condition your dry and rough skin? Well, if finding an avocado can be a bit tricky you can always pick a ripe banana for a home solution. The best thing about using a banana is that it is just as effective when used solo. It is basically one of the most common remedy as it is easily available.

Procedure

  • Get 1 or 2 over-ripe bananas; you may also opt to add a tablespoon of honey and or a half tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Peel your bananas and marsh them properly in a bowl. Optionally, you may decide to add honey and olive oil then mix properly to create a smooth paste.
  • Apply the resultant paste onto your hands and leave it on until 20 minutes are up.
  • While using lukewarm water, wash your hands well and pat them dry.
  • Repeat this procedure either once or twice a week for the best results.

4. Baking soda with lemon juice

Despite the fact that baking soda is a good ingredient while baking, it is equally popularly known as a neutralising agent in terms of the pH levels. By balancing the pH level of once skin it proves to be an effective home solution for dry hands. This is a perfect remedy not only for dealing with dry and rough hands but also the dull colored once. The lemon juice is quite effective in skin lightening; the citric acid is the main component on the lemon juice that discolours the dark spots on one’s hands.

Procedure

  • Take 2 tablespoons of the baking soda, honey, and lemon juice (make it 6 tablespoons of all the ingredients).
  • Mix all this ingredients well to obtain a fine paste.
  • Apply the resulting paste to your hands as you lightly massage them. Rub for a couple of minutes and then let it be for about 10 minutes.
  • Then use lukewarm water to wash your hands, pat them dry and finally apply a good hand moisturizer.
  • You can repeat this process two or three times in a week for soft and smooth hands.
